Matt Sibigtroth
Matt Sibigtroth is a 2001 graduate of Hampshire High School
where he was a 4 year varsity starter. While at Hampshire, Matt was a 4 year All Conference First Team and 3 year All Area
First Team selection. Matt was voted team MVP all 4 years.
He was draft pick of the Chicago White
Sox in 2001 after he graduated from Hampshire.
Matt then played college baseball for the Kishwaukee
College Kougars where he was a starting mid-infielder both years. He was in the top of most offensive categories while at
Kish and was named to the Region IV team because of it.
Matt was again drafted by the Chicago
White Sox after his freshman year at Kish in 2002.
Matt then transferred to the University of
Dayton, where again he was a starting mid-infielder and one of their leaders at the plate.
Coach
Sib is currently the Varsity Asst. at Marian Central Catholic HS in Woodstock, IL, and was a part of their championship team
in 2005 that went 30-8 and made a trip down state which made them one of the Elite Eight teams in the state.
