The Algonquin Hawks are a non-profit select travel baseball organization composed of volunteer coaches committed to give kids between the ages of 10 and 14 an opportunity to play baseball at a competitive level. The Hawks main objective is to develop our athletes into well rounded ball players. We plan to accomplish this by stressing fundamentals, teamwork, leadership, positive attitude, discipline, respect and sportsmanship in both victory as well as defeat. We expect our players to arrive at practices and games focused, ready to perform to their fullest potential, to play hard, play fair and to have fun. We encourage our players to set their standards high, to strive for success, and to learn from their mistakes. The Algonquin Hawks teams are geared toward kids who play multiple sports. While we do encourage our players to participate and experience other activities, we expect their main commitment to be to baseball once the season has begun. |
